The Collector Special Applications Rifle, also known as the Collector Sniper Rifle, was a sniper rifle designed and reverse engineered from the prothean sniper rifle by the Reapers for use by the Collector ground forces. Using the same high powered particle energy as the particle cannon, the sniper rifle instead does not fire a continuous stream, but single projectile shots. This isolates the destructive power of the particle cannon in single, powerful shots capable of disecting enemy targets from the sheer impact: most shots will shatter shields instantly and crack through medium armor. The weapon was only used by Collector assassins, who were the sharpshooters of the Collector armies. So far, the weapon has only ever been used by Collector forces, with all remaining instances of the weapon being destroyed with the Collector Base in 2185 CE.
