The Collector Light Particle Cannon, also known as the Collector Particle Beam, was a particle beam weapon designed and reverse engineered from the prothean particle rifle by the Reapers for use by the Collector ground forces. Designed as a portable, infantry version of the Collector ship's main gun, the light particle cannon is used by Collector captains as a form of anti infantry heavy weapon. It fires a lance of highly concentrated particle energy at a target, impacting with enough force to disintegrate most armor and drain shields. So far, the weapon has only ever been used by Collector forces, with all remaining instances of the weapon being destroyed with the Collector Base in 2185 CE.
